Our September Harvest Festival went well, in spite of our cramped quarters. It was full-house for the Quiz Supper; Our thanks to Robert for taxing our memories with his quiz; also to Jacqui and Anne who did a splendid job in sharing out the succulent bring-and-share supper contributions (and Brenda was in and out of the kitchen too). Then there was Kwame and the rest of the team who shunted tables and chairs around and left all ready at the end for the next day's worship. We've left out a lot of names, but thank you too.
A full house for the Sunday thanksgiving and intercession, led by Brenda. A fair number of cans and packets will go to Homeless Action in Barnet in Anna's motor; the total gifts for the Methodist Relief and Development Fund looks like being a record; £217.60 has been banked in cash while personal cheques made out to MRDF will add up to over £550 (final total to be advised).
